Research seminar on rare failures in autonomous driving
ORLab announced a research seminar on rare failures in autonomous driving, held at Phenikaa University's A9 building in Hanoi.
Autonomous driving systems are designed to operate in complex and changing environments. Their most difficult cases are often the rare events: situations that appear infrequently, but can have a significant effect on safety and system reliability.
From unusual cases to reliable decisions
Studying rare failures requires careful data analysis, modelling, simulation, and intelligent decision-making. It also encourages researchers to ask how algorithms can identify uncertainty and respond appropriately when familiar patterns no longer apply.
